MONTEROSSO WEEKEND: MONTEROSSO LEMONS` FESTIVAL

LEMONS? FESTIVAL in Monterosso al mare
Every year on the third saturday of May the lemons? festival takes place in Monterosso. The most beautiful shop windows decorated with lemons will be given a price. In the evening a jury will give a prize to the biggest lemon. The festival involves the local community who decorates the whole village with this typical product of the territory, which is referred to even in Montale?s poetry.
 

• In the morning: Piazza Garibaldi. - "Yellow and Green"
   
• 9.00 a.m. start of the painting impromptu session;
   
• 12.00 p.m. opening of the gastronomic bars.
   
• 2.30 p.m. walk-cultural cuisine "8000 steps to perfume of lemons" - All gastronomic stages will be allietate from music of various kinds (subscriptions open at the Pro Loco, under the station)
   
• 5.00 p.m. beginning of selections the best and most original shop window.
   
• Banda concert, "The Monterossina", in Piazza Garibaldi
   
• 9.00 p.m. ceremony of BITTER ROSSO DI MARE ROSSO.
   
• 9.45 p.m. Music with RICCHI E POVERI.
   
• 10.00 p.m. prize giving ceremony of the most original shop window.
