Condiglione is a salad from the Italian Riviera. Its fresh flavors evoke memories of terraced vegetable gardens overlooking the sea and the scent of basil in the air. The well konwn version of this salad expands the role of the tuna, using fresh instead of canned. The preliminary marination helps ensure that the fish remains meltingly tender. It takes its name from the "condiglione", which is an exclusive Ligurian plant, that gives with its fragrance liveliness to simple dishes such as "condiglione", a colorful mixed tomato salad dressed with olive oil, enriched with anchovies, salted olives and garlic.
