The Herring Gull have chosen the high southern cliff of the Gallinara island, regional natural reserve to nest without being disturbed forming one of the biggest colonies in the north Tirreno. The part of the coast well shelted, instead has offered a support to the Roman ships, in which are preserved the important discoveries in the museum of Albenga. Among the luxuriant mediterranean vegetation one can find paleomediterranean flowers and rare reptiles. For the great biological quality and archeological depths, still in part,whole, is forecasted an establishment a marine reserve.
