The Genoa lighthouse was built in 1543, it is 77 m high and is situated on a rock 40 m above the sea level. Its height from the sea level is 117 m. The light is visible up to 50 km far away. The visitors can get up to 76 m above the sea level on the tower. The lighthouse is rounded by an anchient fortress that nowadays hosts the Lighthouse museum. All around there is a public garden opened to visitors.The Museum and the Lighthouse are open every saturday, sunday and all feasts from 10 to 18, or you can book calling +39 01851871069.
