Albissola?s Pottery Museum preserves an ancient local pottery collection, made in Albissola and Savona. About 40 different majolica pharmacy vessels, blue decorated, dated back to the XVII or the XVIII century; a collection of about 80 pieces dated back to the XVIII or XIX century, among which you can find some eighteenth-century majolicas from Savona, some renowned yellow ?terracottas? from Albissola, wonderful glazed ceramics called ?taches noir?, examples of black earthenware and about fifty crib figures the most made by the famous potter Tambuscio from Savona?.A particular area of the museum is dedicated to the Romanesque Schiappapietra?s Collection that preserves ceramics, glasses, marbles and some painted plasterworks, coming from the excavations made more than 100 years ago by Schiappapietra in the roman Villa at Alba Docilia, located nearby to the today?s railway station.from Tuesday to Saturday 6-10.30 p.m., on Wednesday 10 a.m.-1 p.m. and 6-10.30 p.m., on Sunday 10-12.30 a.m. (summer season); close on Monday Adult ? 3,50 (including the visit to the temporary exhibition); Students ? 1,60 Corso Ferrari 193, Albisssola Superiore.an amusing day at Caravelle water park or an excursion to the mysterious Toirano caves.
