Sciacchetrà is a typical DOC wine, from Cinque Terre area, it is cultivated on terraced sheer vineyards overlooking the sea. Just to obtain one bottle of this amber-coloured wine, it is necessary 15/20 kg. of grape. The ageing process occurs in the shade and wine has been poured off for min. 12 months. (as regards the ?Reserve? the ageing process lasts at least 3 years). Rare wine, is considered suitable for meditation, it takes its name from the Ligurian dialect which means: (sciac) = press grape and (tra) = removing grape dregs during its fermentation. Raisin wine, gold-coloured with amber reflex, has an intense honey scent. The taste is sweet, full-bodied, persistent and pleasant with almond aftertaste and a minimum of 17° alcoholic strength.Monterosso; A12 Genoa-Livorno, Carrodano or Borghetto Vara highway exit . We suggest travelling by train, through the Parigi-Genoa-Rome railway line or by boat which leaves from La Spezia or Tigullio Gulf. Monterosso, the biggest village of Cinque Terre area, is the ideal place for trekking, diving and natural excursions. A trekking itinerary allows you to walk along the coast, by visiting the other villages.
